Healing feminine energy mainly would mean balancing both your energies or overcoming from constantly “doing” to finally “being”, to get in touch to your most authentic self as a women.

For so long I was running my life on masculine energy that it lead me to overworking, burnt out and dissatisfied in my life.

I did not understand what was wrong with me when I was over giving to others, always ready to say yes, so kind and helping and still not getting enough love and respect I thought I deserved and others not caring about my opinions or even needs.

I suppressed my emotions for so long that I thought I was being strong because that’s what I was taught as child as most of us; don’t cry, be strong, don’t share, don’t be vulnerable, what will people think and all the stories we’ve been told to become a good human being in this patriarchal society.

Femininity is often misunderstood as wearing pretty clothes and makeup & not being intellectual.

No matter what your gender is, every single human on this earth has feminine and masculine energy in them.

One energy could be more or less in a person but its there. It’s what we are made of, Yin and yang, Shiv and Shakti, Feminine and Masculine.

An imbalance of these energies is what brings chaos in our lives. While i would love to talk about both but today, i’ll be talking about; The feminine energy.

 

What is feminine energy really?

Creation is at the core of feminine energy. When this universe was created, it was created with the power of feminine energy.

While masculine energy is the space or void where matter is created; feminine energy is the force behind creating that matter. One cannot exist without the other.

Feminine energy is about the energy of surrender, letting it be, it’s about receiving what we deserve.

It’s about being vulnerable and staying true to our nature, being authentic.


What are the key qualities of feminine energy?

Creative

Intuitive

Sexy

Nurturing

Being

Playful

Spontaneous

Why is feminine energy imbalanced?

Causes of imbalance of feminine energy

1. Over Emphasis on Masculine Energy:

For long now, as our society has moved more towards achieving more and more, there has been an over emphasis on over working so as to earn more and more money.

This led to race between men and women to become more powerful by earning more money.

Earning more is considered respectable, worthy and valued. This lead us to become more materialistic and this carried us away from our intuition.

We forgot what acting from our hearts truly is. We forgot to listen to our intuition

Meanwhile, femininity got shut down and lead to being seen as a pretty face, hourglass figure, wearing pretty dresses and doing makeup

2. Suppression of emotions:

As we move away from our own instincts and general nature, we can’t understand our true emotions.

Being strong is considered as being able to hold your emotions, not sharing with anyone and letting it all go; no matter how bad you feel.

With the continuous perpetuation of this conditioning we have become either numb to our emotions or misaligned where we don’t know what truly is going on inside of us leading to feeling confused in every area of our lives.


3. Ignorance of self care

Feminine energy is not just about nurturing other but also ourselves.

When we start giving more importance to other things in life whether that’s our relationships or career than ourselves; we go downhill on our personal care.

Self care is not just about having a bubble bath or getting your nails done. it’s more than that.

When you ignore your physical needs as of nutrition, exercise or physical desires, you’re not taking enough care of yourself

Even when you’re not taking out time for some self-reflection or that peaceful walk in nature, you’re ignoring your mental needs

This neglect is going into the opposition with the feminine aspect of nurturing.

How to heal your feminine energy?

To balance your feminine energy you need to understand where it is lacking first.

Evaluate your life and analyse which areas of your life are suffering and where you’re feeling unsatisfied.

After you do that, you can try these few ways to balance your feminine energy.

  1. Start listening to your intuition:

It might not be easy to understand in the beginning but with practice you will be able to understand the difference in the voice of your mind and in the voice of your heart.

The voice of your mind is mostly fearful & logical whereas your intuition will be filled with wisdom, love & peace.

It’s the knowing in existence.

Intuition is the slight nudges that you get in your tummy (the gut feeling) when something is wrong or when you need guidance in your life.

Pay attention to how you’re feeling about everything you’re doing in your life and follow this guidance & see how it works out when you follow your inner guidance


2. Opening up your heart:

Holding up too many emotions not only blocks your heart chakra but also creates dissatisfaction in relationships, in career and in every other area of your life.

When you let yourself be, you allow yourself to be vulnerable; you’re not only able to understand your true nature but you also embrace your authenticity.

When you express what you feel, you feel free.

You no longer feel burdened with heavy emotions.

You no longer hold grudges and you’re able to move on.

Start expressing yourself; your needs, your desires, your feelings.


3. Surrendering:

When you’re trying to control everything in life, you’re working with wounded masculine energy.

When you hold onto what’s not necessary, you create resistance in your own path.

When you stop holding onto what you can’t change, you not only let go of the resistance but also let the universe do its magic.

You let the divine orchestrates its power in your life.

You manifest faster. Let loose.

Don’t put a belt around what you can’t grip.

Don’t try to control everything in your life.

When you let go of what’s not needed, you create space for something new.


4. Practicing self care:

By Ignoring our self care we’re digging our own graves of discontentment in life.

When you take care of yourself, you are not only bringing more happiness in life but it also brings more mental peace.

Create a list of self care activities you can do to improve your physical and emotional well being.

If you’re not able to have good diet, talk to dietician or a nutritionist, to get started. get a health checkup done timely to know how your body feels at current life stage.

If you’ve bad personal hygiene or your skin is not behaving well, inculcate activities to correct that.


5. Meditating:

Meditation is not just about sitting tight and closing your eyes.

It’s more about knowing your true nature.

Through regular meditation, you will be able to connect with yourself, your true desires, you will be more at peace and energetically aligned to be able to receive the right guidance in your life.

 

It will help you to get in touch with your intuition which is the basis of feminine energy

With the power of meditation, you will able to connect to your higher consciousness and let the things to happen through you rather than your regular way of controlling them.


6. Setting up Boundaries:

When you say yes to the things you want to say ‘no’ to, it may come from a place of being rejection or not accepted.

True balance happens when you stand for what you need and what you desire.

It’s necessary to say ‘no’ when you can’t do something or don’t want to do because you don’t resonate with it or don’t align with what’s happening.

You need to express your opinions without the fear of being judged.

You must know that there is a time to say ‘yes’ and a time to say ‘no’ as well.


7. Understanding your emotions:

Not only expressing what you feel but also understanding what you feel at your core is crucial.

If you won’t know what you feel at the first place, how would you express it.

To understand your emotions, you need to ask yourself the right questions.

You can start with journaling or also talk to a coach.

Where do i feel this emotion in my body?

Is this something I feel regularly?

What did this situation made me feel?

What does this situation (your particular one) trigger in me?

What things/behaviors/trigger make me angry?

Is this emotion related to a present or a past experience?

Am i fully feeling this emotion or am i suppressing it?

How can I express this emotion?

Healing happens when we understand our emotions and start asking the write questions about why is it even happening?

And when you do that, you explore a new dimension to jump in where you get in touch with what you’ve been ignoring from years and start healing it piece by piece.

And that is when you become your true self, you meet your authentic self.
